Located at 1146 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60642, Rudy's Ramen operates as a restaurant serving Chicago in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Because this group is broad, judging a listing on freshness, turnover and how consistent recent reviews are tends to work better than judging by decor or price range alone. Most kitchens in Chicago will adjust a dish for common dietary needs like gluten-free or vegetarian if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in Illinois usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 5–9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 702 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded restaurants in Chicago.

Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Chicago is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Illinois's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Just moved to Chicago about a month ago and have been eager to find a go-to ramen spot. Happy to say after trying two other spots I’ve found it! They served me even though I arrived 30 minutes before close (I don’t normally do this but I was starving and in the area) and I was in and out within 20 minutes! So service was fantastic, friendly and speedy but the star of the show was definitely the ramen. I got the spicy tonkotsu and the broth was by far the most flavorful I’ve had in a long time, large, tender cuts of pork, the egg was perfectly jammy and MARINATED (which the other two places I’ve tried did not do😩) and they were very generous with the noodles, which was also perfectly cooked! I also had the carmelized pork bun which was also delicious but the bao was a little soggy. No matter what you order I’m sure you can’t go wrong with this place. Will definitely be back!

We loved Rudy and his Ramen. We got seated very quickly and the food came out quick as well. I enjoyed the Spicy Tonkotsu and my wife had the veggie. She was impressed by the body of the broth. The eggs were perfect! On top of that, we got to meet the man himself. He basically walked us out when we decided to leave. Fantastic experience.

Really cool interior and atmosphere! Went at 6pm on a Saturday and had minimal wait with really fast service. Staff was all super friendly. Ordered the chicken karaage which was some of the best I've ever had, with light breading, though the side sauces were unconventional (but still good). For ramen, had the spicy miso with thin noodles and the spicy tantanmen. Both were really great, but personally dont get the hype about it being #1 in Chicago - there are probably other places with a bit more flavorful broths. The spicy miso broth was quite on the sour side for a miso, with less rounded out flavor than usual. The chashu was really good, however! The tantanmen had Sichuan peppercorns in it so it had a numbing mouthfeel and just the right spice level.

This is my new best ramen place in Chicago! The tonkotsu tastes very similar to Ichiran (Japanese exam noodle), which I like. The service is very nice. The drink is also nice. Everyone is friendly and attentive. We got more than one people coming to our table talking to us, feels very well taken care of. The only thing is the speaker is really loud, we had to speak a bit louder to really hear each other.

My partner stumbled upon this spot for lunch a couple weeks back and hasn’t stopped raving about the ramen since… I completely understand why now! The spicy miso ramen strikes the perfect balance between rich, deep flavor and just the right amount of heat. The Brussels sprouts and karaage chicken were the perfect accompaniments. Highly recommend trying the chicken. The owner shared that it’s marinated for 24 hours and breaded right before frying. Insane in the best way! Everyone here is incredibly friendly, and you can genuinely tell that customer experience is held in the highest regard. We will absolutely be back!
